Brigadier General (ret.) Rich Gross is a Co-Founder and Partner at Redwoods Leadership Group, where he leads client engagements and works with teams toward their strategic growth and development. Rich is an experienced C-Suite executive, senior legal counsel, military flag officer, and strategic advisor, having worked in government, nonprofits, and private industry. He has strategic expertise in legal services; crisis management; strategic communication; government procurement; risk management; compliance; critical thinking; and strategic planning.

Rich served over 30 years in the U.S. Army as an infantry officer and judge advocate. His service included multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. During his final four years on active duty, Rich was the Legal Counsel to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Following his military service, Rich served as a senior mentor and faculty member for the Thayer Leader Development Group at West Point, a senior mentor

for the Department of State’s Foreign Service Institute’s Leadership Program, and served as in-house and outside legal counsel.

In addition to his work with Redwoods Leadership Group, Rich is currently the General Counsel and a Senior Advisor at Pallas Advisors LLC. He is a scholar in the George W. Bush Institute’s Stand-To Veteran Leadership Program. He also serves on the board of directors for three nonprofit organizations, each of which serves veterans and their families.

Rich and his wife, Vickie have three grown children: Benjie, Nathaniel and Joshua.
